Reading statements without theatrics

A statement is a page of facts arranged by an institution’s habits. It is not a verdict on your character.

Read slowly: dates, fees, categories. Ask what changed. If something is unclear, ask the institution for plain language—confusion is expensive, and clarity is a service.

Nothing here predicts returns. The goal is literacy: knowing what you own, what you owe, and what cash is likely to do next month.
